Story Reported by Samuel Amon
Professor Kofi Agyekum of the University of Ghana has called on the Government of Ghana to support private schools in the country.
Speaking on Peace Fm’s Kokrooko, the Professor of Linguistics lauded the government for not opening schools for full operation till 2021.
He however made it known to the government that private schools in the country are struggling to pay fees of teachers who’ve been home since March because of the coronavirus restrictions.
According to Prof. Kofi Agyekum, the government should come to the aid of the schools just like they do for other industry.
The University of Ghana Professor said the support could be in a form of a loan which can be paid in a long term.
