The Paramount chief of Ahodwo Akuapeng Anorfo community has indicated that the failed students in the community was due to lack of parental guidance.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with some selected media during the lifting of the ban on noise making which for part of rites to mark the annual festival, the paramount chief of Ahodwo, Nana Opare Amankwa II said base on the past experience which led to the poor performance of the students from Ahodwo, so this time around he and his elders held a meeting with parents whose children are writing the final year exams and warn them to take their children education seriously considering buying text books that can help them learn while at home.
According to him, based on this he is confidence that the children's are taking their learning seriously and believe that they will come out with excellent quality results.
He said he and his kings men have managed to raised fund construct JHS but due to financial constraints the project has been abandoned.
