Story Reported and Written by Rebecca Lartey

The Headmaster of St.Thomas Aquinas Shs Mr. Paul Amoasi Baidoo has appealed to government to convert the senior high school into a boarding school. He said this would save the students the burden of travelling from far to attend school and leaving under no control.

Speaking at the launch of the School's 70th Anniversary, Mr. Paul Baidoo mentioned that the situation poses  undue stress on the students and thus affecting effective teaching and learning. He notes that the school has some vast portions of lands that has been demarcated to that effect and therefore appeal to government to approve their appeal.

During the launch of the Anniversary the school raised funds to build an ultra modern Assembly Hall that has been  one of the pressing challenge of the school. The Headmaster said this has become necessary as the numbers of students keeps increasing hence causing congestion at the old assembly hall.

He appealed to corporate organisations and old students across the globe to lend their support to build an Ultra-modern assembly hall for the school

The Guest speaker at the launch Mr. Gayheart Mensah CEO of Cums Craft Consult and an old student of the school also called on government to look at expanding the infrastructures in the school to accommodate more students. He encouraged the students to use the power of digital technology to think better and become global leaders.

Chief of Sempe who happens to be an old student and a member of the Education select group in parliament says he will use his authority to ensure that the Assembly Hall is built.

Meanwhile some old students who were present in their numbers contributed immesely to raising funds for the building of the School's ultra morden assembly hall. The main Anniversary celebration will be held on the 26th of March 2022.
