NATIONAL TEACHING COUNCIL CALL ON STAKEHOLDERS TO SUPPORT IN REWARDING TEACHERS

The National Teaching Council  has called on stakeholders to support in rewarding teachers across the country

Speaking at the Launch of the 2021 edition of the Ghana Teacher Prize awards, the Registrar of the National Teaching Council Dr. Christian Addai Poku says the firm wish to reward teachers nationwide but do not have adequate logistics to that effect.

He says the major objective of the awards scheme is to inspire teachers for high performance, restore dignity and retain qualified teachers and overall effectiveness in classrooms.

The 2021 Ghana Teacher Prize would be a 3days event held from October 3rd to 5th 2021 at Sunyani in the Bono Region. Dr. Christan Addai notes that the best outstanding teacher will take home Gh250,000 and a brand new car.

He therefore called on stakeholders and institutions to support these project to honour teachers accross the country.

He mentioned some of the criterias for the selection of the outstanding best teacher prize.
