RIGHT TO INFORMATION COMMISSION: LAUNCH RIGHT TO INFORMATION WEEK.

The Right to information Commission: Launch  Right to information week,
The Commission was set under the Right to information Act, 2019(Act 989)with the mandate to promote, monitor, protect and enforce Right to information that is granted a person under Article 21(1) of the 1992 constitution pursuant to its mandate.

Mr Yaw Sarpong Boateng the Executives Secretary Right to information Commission emphasised that the commission would mark this year's international Day for Universal Access to information with a long week program of activities which is to be known as the Right to information week.


The Commission( IDUAI) was instituted upon United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisations (UNESCO)adopting the 38 C/ Resolution 57 declaring 28th September every year as the international day for Universal Access to information. 
The Right to information Commission Shall celebrate the week every year to promote the Right to access to information.


The theme for the maiden celebration: ( Right to information, a tool to ensure transparency, good governance, and sustainable development in Leveraging international cooperation; this Aimed to promoting Access to information and creating public awareness and  to information Act 2019( Act 989)
