Nuclear Power plant Won't Have Effects-Prof. Nyarko

The Atomic Energy and had so many experiences in the management of the nuclear energy system in Ghana and it won't have any effects on us.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with some selected media in Accra,the CEO of Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Professor Nyarko expressed his feelings that, stakeholders in the sector to ensure that the country's vision of establishing nuclear power plant is realize.

According to him, the eye of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, that Ghana is in the position to go ahead with the implementation of the nuclear power program which has three Phases of which the first phase would be ready in two years time.

The second phase will be completed hopefully in 2024 there after the third face will continue.

Adding that, though he is retiring from the commission but his successors will continue the foundation he has already laid for the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission to boost the atomic energy sector.

Ghana is fast growing country and therefore is a need to have the nuclear power plants to backup the current power.

Professor Nyarko was optimistic that this will go along way for generations unborn baby to come and benefit in future.
