Teshie Gbugblah Oblahia Mantse........First Commemoration Observed In Joyous Occasion

At a joyous occasion when singing and drumming to mark first anniversary commemoration of the throne.

According to the chiefs and elders of Teshie Gbugblah, set the record straight that Nii Martey Laryea I, was installed as Gbugblah "Oblahia" Mantse on 18th February, 2021 for which we all are witnessing and to celebrate his 1 st enstoolment Anniversary.

He was enstool as Teshie Gbugblah Oblahia Mantse with the stool name; Original Nii Martey Laryea I, to help foster peace and unity within Teshie Gbugblah and its environs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Stephen Martey Laryea, who doubles as the acting Gbugblah Atofoatse, recounted the achievements chalked by the traditional Leader within a one year period saying; these achievements are worth commending and worthy for others to emulate.

He was optimistic that one of the numerous achievements by the "Oblahia" Mantse, is the registration of 5000 people within Teshie Gbugblah and its environs onto the National Health Insurance Scheme in order for them to benefit from quality healthcare any time the need arises.

Mr. Laryea appealed to the people of Teshie to pave way for peace and unity run tall in Teshie Gbugblah and surrounding communities so that more development projects could be undertaken by Nii Martey Laryea I.

According to him, as customs demands, the Traditional Leader upon arrival at the Teshie Township, first visited his family house where he was enstooled a year ago before proceeding to the event grounds at the Teshie Salem Square.

Personalities who came and grace the occasion were chiefs, Queenmothers and Traditional leaders across the Gadangme Traditional area, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku Constituency, Benjamin Nartey Ayiku as well as representatives of the Islamic fraternity led by the Deputy Chief Imam, Sheikh Mallam Muneru Dalad- Fah and Christian fraternity.

Other attendance was the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Officer for Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Mordecai Quarshie.
For her part, the representative of Ga Mantse, who doubles as the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Ga Mantse, Justice Naa Yarley
Sarkodia Mensah, speaking on behalf of the
Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru Il praised Nii Laryea I for the succes so far and called on all indigens of the Teshie community to support the Traditional Leader for more development.
"Continue with the good works Nii, so that you will leave behind a legacy for future generations", she stressed.

On his part, the Gbuglah Oblahia Mantse, Nii Martey Laryea I disclosed that, Gbugblah has in recent times become an enviable community amongst the Teshie and surrounding towns because of the high level of peace and harmony between the indigens. He therefore urge the people to continue living in peace and harmony and even deepen it so other communities can also learn from Gbugblah.

Nii Laryea I, admonished the teeming youth of Gbugblah to desist from all acts of hooliganism and other wrong doings that has the tendency of maring the image of Gbuglah.

"Let's all get involved in jealously guarding against the image and goodwill of Gbugblah", he emphasized.


According to him, seized the opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to the Chiefs, Queen Mothers as well other Traditional Leader, the clegy, the Islamic fraternity, and all and sundry who despite their busy schedules, made it a point to attend his 1st year Anniversary and thus; contributing immensely to its success.
