The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources also the Caretaker Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cecelia Abena Dapaa, at the Media launch today has announced the planned activities in regards to the International Women's Day Celebrated on 8th March this year, has said, there must be a representation for a practical and effective climate change mitigation to unleash the knowledge and capabilities of Women in the country.


The Minister explained that, this year's International Women's Day activities will focus on "Equality today for a sustainable tommorow" under the theme #Break the Bias and seeks to  recognize the contribution of women and girls across the world and a climate change adaptation, mitigation and in response to build a sustainable development for all.


The Minister urged the men to get involve in household activities such as cooking for the women in this International Women's Day Celebration on 8th March and it will be a public holiday which people aren't going to work on that very day, and so men must cook and clean for the women instead, she stated.


She therefore appealed to all men to treat women in a special way to celebrate the International Women's Day as the occasion comes once in every year.
