The aspiring Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC constituency candidates has accused the chairman elect Mr.Bismarck Bobi of rigged the just ended elections.
Speaking at a news conference held in Accra, the spokesperson for the aspirants Mr.Walker Obeng Darko hinted that the elections and it results has left many questions unanswered and the grassroot embittered as believed that their voice they translated into votes were somehow submerged.
According to him, the grassroots, especially branch executives across the constituency have constantly in touch with us, some have decided to withdraw their services others are threatening to resign from their various branch portfolios. From us to them, we say Don't Give Up!, we say we are with you and we will not allow the overwhelming shout for change be silenced.
He said as leaders who believe in the rule of law, they have taken action and addressed appropriate quarters to seek for redress and the total annulment of Saturday elections for it was nothing but a Bawumia-Like dollar capturing elections, the elections was nothing but pure fraud.
The elections was smeared with irregularities, illegalities and thievery as the NPP-back chairman with the aid of the EC, Electoral Committee and police bullied their way through to a supposed victory, but they say to them today, that victory will not last for the voice of the people is the voice of God.
Mr. Obeng Darko reiterates that the Ayawaso West branch executives, rest not for the irregularities are but not limited to only ballot stuffing, difference between delegates list submitted to them(aspirants) by the electoral committee and the one used by the EC, on the day of voting evidence of black and white ballot papers in the ballot box, under-aged delegates who voted and many others.
"We know your collective voice did not reflect due to the electoral fraud perpetrated, and we assure you that we have taken the necessary steps, gathered evidence and petitioned National and FEC. We petitioned these higher bodies on Tuesday, 25th October, 2022, we furnished them with details and infractions backed with facts which transpired on the election day, these infractions are similar if not for reason other constituency elections have been annulled" he fumed.
According to him, they're telling the grassroots, branch executives that they have hear your cry and your message has gotten to them, they are here to assure them that by tomorrow Friday 28th October, 2022 if this petition is still shelved they would come to them and together they shall take it off that shelf and they shall be heard.
