CADEG Deepen Relationship With Ghana Shippers Authority Redress Challenges

The Chamber of Automobile Dealership Ghana (CADEG) has joined the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA) to help Advocate the development of the Automobile industry in Ghana. 

In an effort to engage and deepen the relationship among various Committees  in the automobile sector, CADEG took part in the quarter meetings of the Accra Shippers Committee to help address some of the challenges facing the automobile sector. 

Last month, the Chamber officially introduce it's leadership to the Shippers Authority and propose  to the Authority on some standard operations process the stakeholders in the automobile industry can adopt to check the issue of Stolen Vehicles imported into Ghana.

Leading the delegations from the Chamber was the President Nana Adu  Bonsu, Mr Eddie Kusi Ankomah Vic-Chairman, Mr Vincent Ayertay, National Coordinator and the Executive Secretary, Mr George Dumenu who is also the Accra shippers Committee Secretary. 

Speaking at the committee meeting, the Vice-Chairman of CADEG, Mr Eddie Kusi Ankomah sought clarification on tax exemption presentation  by the representative  of Ministry of Finance.

Mr Emmanuel Mensah, the Representative from the Ministry explained the process businesses went through before getting tax exemptions. 

CADEG in collaboration with Customs, CID, Interpol, GSA , Shippers Authority are in process of forming a team to prescribe ways to serve some of the challenges facing the automobile sector especially the issue of Stolen Vehicles imported into Ghana.
