The management of TV Africa and our mother company, Group Ideal Company Limited has officially unveiled diaspora series Programme.
As the chief servant of this thriving media establishment, let me first of all admit that, I am deeply excited to witness an auspicious day like this; a day that ignites a new era in TV Africa’s twenty-five (25) years of broadcasting excellence as the talking drum of Africa.
Speaking at the media launch, the Managing Director of TV AFRICA, Mr. Ekow Blankson stated that the TV AFRICA has revealed that it is currently implementing plans to bring their programming to the United States Of America market by early 2021 at the latest.
"let me first of all indicate that since its inception in 1995, TV Africa has guarded its reputation as the only broadcasting network in Ghana dedicated to projecting African values and revealing the unique brand of the African people" he lamented.
According to him, despite the unending influx of foreign content, I am happy to say that TV Africa has remained resolute on this path.
As a feather in our cup, let me also reiterate that currently, the station broadcasts across 42 African countries via satellite, with a very competitive presence on Dstv channel 362, Gotv channel 175, as well as social media.
Notwithstanding that now across the globe, Africa is usually regarded as a continent that is saddled with political unrest, conflicts, economic downturns, disease outbreaks, wars and other forms of social
turbulence.
However, let me state emphatically that against this gloomy narrative, Africa still remains the only continent on the globe that is blessed with a basket of natural endowments, limitless potentials and a people rich in hospitality and refined virtues.
Over the years, not only have Africans remained united in their resolve; they have also proven to be a people who are impermeable to adversity; and a people who can weather through every impediment.
Indeed, Africans across the world are a breed of immense strength, incorruptible values, unmatched skills, unparalleled abilities and bright aspirations.
Mr. Blankson said but in order to project this amazing identity, there is the need for all Africans home and abroad to forge stronger ties and build a resilient front that will be able to withstand suppression, ridicule and misrepresentation by imperialists and naysayers.
In view of this, TV Africa is pleased to inform the general public that henceforth, the station will begin transmitting Africanized content to its audience in the diaspora, with the aim of reaching about ninety-one million homes in the United States of America in particular, through the TV Africa Diaspora initiative, by the help of Roku and Amazon Fire Stick.
According to him, by this token, America and the rest of the world will be able digest Africanized content, tailored to suit the viewing pleasure of the black community, irrespective of their geographical destinations.
He mentioned that he is convinced that TV Africa Diaspora will serve the noble purpose of broadcasting Africa to the rest of the world, and creating a blissful jell among all persons of African descent and origin.
He there therefore wish to call on all corporate institutions, private individuals, the business community and the general public, to take advantage of this global visibility and also extend to us all the needed support and courtesies in order to propel this move to incredible heights of success.
"Once again, let me convey my joy for this landmark development, and it is our prayer that the days ahead will be fruitful" he stressed.
