“AFTER 5” CEO SOCIAL MEDIA OUTBURST WAS PREMEDITATED – INVESTIGATIONS REVEAL

 Story Reported by Nii Amon

It has emerged that the Chief Executive Officer of “After 5”, a beverage company, threatened to tarnish the image of his biological uncle and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Industries Nii Laryea Botwe II weeks before the alleged “attack” on Mr. Francis Afotey.

In an interview with TV Africa’s Nii Tettey Ablorh monitored by this website, Nii Laryea Botwe II said soon after audit reports revealed that an amount of one hundred and forty thousand Ghana cedis had been stolen by his nephew, Mr. Francis Afotey fled Liberty Industries and established his own company to produce beverages which have similar or same formula as Kpoo Keke.

Nii Botwe Laryea II said he had Francis summoned and asked to go into any production other than the replica of Kpoo Keke but the latter refused.

He said former Member of Parliament Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo who happens to be a family member invited Francis to his house to advise him to change his mind on going ahead to produce a competitive beverage to the Kpoo Keke brand but to the former’s surprise, Francis Afotey threatened to resort to social media to tarnish his uncle’s name if they continue to persuade him to change his business.

When contacted via telephone, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo confirmed to Nii Tettey Ablorh of TV Africa that indeed, the social media brouhaha stirred by Mr. Francis Afotey was premeditated.

“I invited him just to advise him to change his ways and he indeed threatened to tarnish the image of Nii Jaasetse on social media. I kept it as a secrete as I didn’t want to further bruise the already strained relationship between them but it was when I saw the social media accounts of Francis that I realized he actually meant to execute his plan. It was after this that I revealed the secret to Nii Botwe Laryea”, Nii Afotey Agbo recounts.

The obvious hurt CEO of Kpoo Keke, Nii Botwe Laryea told Nii Tettey Ablorh that there is no reason why he would want to kill someone who he is in court with to get his stolen money back.

“He owes me Ghc 140,000 and I need my money so why would want to kill him? There is nothing envious about Francis that will push me to go after his life. I have expanded the domain of my company to an appreciable level of which I am grateful to God.

I am still expanding and have even ventured other industries and Francis is a no match to me so why would I waste time to go after his life? I need him alive to pay back my stolen money so I can’t go after his life”, emphasized, Nii Botwe Laryea.

Nii Botwe Laryea II who narrated his humble beginning said he was handed capital by one late Ataa Kpotro to start the alcohol business and has been grateful for the gesture to date.

He said once Ataa Kpotro of blessed memory blessed the money before giving it to him, he has grown from grace to grace to date, however he doubts if the stolen money of his by Mr. Francis Afotey will attract same blessing as he got from Ataa Kprotro.

“I have come a long way. I was established by your grandfather - Ataa Kpotro, my cousin. I managed the small capital he gave me and that money has hitherto multiplied.

I had acquired a lot of properties even before I started the Kpoo Keke brand so hearing that Francis is saying that his father, Mensah gave me money to become who I am today makes me wonder”, the CEO of Kpoo Keke told Nii Tettey Ablorh.

The Kpoo Keke CEO later revealed, however, that the CEO of “After 5” came to his house on Monday, 5th April to beg for forgiveness but he told Mr. Francis Afotey to come back on Wednesday for answers
